DJ2BE is a professional DJ and music production school located in The Hague (Den Haag), Netherlands, established in 2013. The school positions itself as “The DJ School in The Hague” with the motto “Because learning to spin is just the beginning!” (“Omdat leren draaien pas het begin is!”).

Foundation and Leadership

DJ2BE was originally founded in 2013 by Cem Araci, a DJ and producer from the group Outsiders. Due to his increasing bookings and limited time for dedicated teaching, he offered the school for takeover. Current owner Dominique Base, also a professional DJ, acquired the school and has elevated it to a level where students receive instruction from major industry players and many graduates regularly perform at large events.

Location and Facilities

The school operates from a state-of-the-art studio in BINK36, a prominent entrepreneurial hub in The Hague. In 2018, to celebrate their fifth anniversary, DJ2BE opened a brand-new studio facility consisting of three sections: a reception area, a DJ studio, and a room for production lessons and masterclasses. The studios feature professional acoustics designed by Jan Morel, the studio designer for renowned artists like Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and Showtek.

DJ2BE offers both DJ courses and music production training, with a unique approach that combines technical skills with industry lifestyle education. Their services include:

• DJ Lessons: Available as private 1-on-1 sessions or small group classes (maximum 6 students)
• Production Courses: Music production training with industry-standard software

• Equipment Training: Using the latest Pioneer equipment (CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 and DJM 900 mixer Nexus 2)
